Privacy Protocol v2.0

Your color data is your intellectual property. Here's how we protect it.

1. Introduction

At Colorcloud, we believe your color data is personal intellectual property. This Privacy Policy outlines our commitment to transparency and data security. By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described herein. Last updated: February 2026.

2. Data We Collect

We collect minimal personal data:

Account Information: Email, name, and profile preferences (only if you create an account)
Color Archives: Palettes, gradients, and custom color schemes you choose to save
Usage Analytics: Anonymous data about which tools you use and how often (via Google Analytics with IP anonymization)
Device Information: Browser type, device type, and operating system for technical optimization
Image Data: Uploaded images are processed locally in your browser for color extraction. Raw images are NOT stored on our servers.

3. Local-First Architecture

By default, Colorcloud operates in Local-First mode. This means:

Your color data is stored in your browser's local storage
Cloud synchronization only occurs when you are authenticated AND manually initiate a sync
We never sell or share your color data with third parties
You own 100% of the palettes and gradients you create

4. Spectrophotometer & Image Data

When you upload images or use our Vision Scanner:

Image processing happens client-side (in your browser)
We extract color data only; the raw image is never sent to our servers
Color extraction results are saved only to your local device unless you explicitly save to cloud
XYZ spectrophotometer readings are treated as user data and protected under this policy

5. Third-Party Services

We partner with:

Google Firebase: For authentication and cloud storage (if you opt-in to sync)
Google Analytics: For anonymous usage statistics (with IP anonymization enabled)
Stripe: For secure payment processing (if you purchase premium features)
Google AdSense: For sponsored content in the Partner Broadcast section

Each service has its own privacy policy which you can review independently.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access all your personal data we hold
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Opt-out of analytics tracking (via browser Do Not Track signals)
Download your color palettes in JSON format
Disable cloud sync at any time

To exercise these rights, contact us at ystudio.x.dev@gmail.com

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

End-to-end encryption for cloud-synced data
HTTPS for all connections
Regular security audits
No storage of raw image files

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child has provided personal data, we will immediately delete it.
